COMMENTS FROM VegDining.com VISITORS: |
"I have been going to Kalachandji's for the last 8 years. I love their food, everything is yummy and fresh! I always seem to over eat when I go there, but it never gives me the rock gut feeling because it is good for you food. It is served buffet style with soup, rice, veggies, the main dishes, bread and a salad bar. And the tea is divine! After you finish your dinner, you will be asked what you would like for dessert which is either a sweet rice or halvah, which both contain dairy. You can always check their website before you go and they have their menu for the day and the foods are marked if they contain dairy or wheat! I highly suggest you eat here! It is my personal fav place to eat!" |

"Another Dallas hotspot Kalachandji's - located near Fair Park and in the midst of a residential neighborhood (inside of the ISHKON Hare Krishna Temple). This casual restaurant has atmosphere and charm with its patio/courtyard and the food is freshly made daily, the homemade breads are a treat and the menu caters to all palates. The sbzis/curries and daals/soups are not heavily spiced or hot, but flavorful, along with the appetizers paired with chutneys (mint/tamarind sauces). Most of the items on the menu are served buffet style and include a salad buffet and the famous tamarind tea. There is the advantage a visit next door - if one enjoys the architecture and serenity of a temple. A great place to meditate in silence to end the evening." |

"It was a delightful experience. The ambiance is cosy and the staff very friendly. In the evening the outdoor sitting area is absolutely magical. Well done!" |
