"This is a neat little vegan bakery in the Columbia Heights area of Washington, D.C. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), being vegan has lost me my cravings for sweets, so I didn't buy any of their cakes. They have a sandwich (or "saladwich") section and a small area to eat inside. Names of items are funny: "chixen saladwich," "bagelwich," etc. My friend and I shared a "tofu egg saladwich." Now, I'm not really a fan of fake meat, but it did taste quite good!

Love the signed photo of Dennis Kucinich on the wall. Though it's a bit out of the way for me, it was so nice to see a 100% vegan place!"

First famed for its "deliriously delicious" Sticky Bun, you should be warned that this multi-layered cinnamon roll dripping with icing is not just addictive, but it may actually cause your heart to skip a beat after your first bite. A newer item on the menu that has everyone in a tizzy is the "sausage and egg" breakfast sandwich (a.k.a. the vegan mcmuffin). Be sure to bring your appetite - and a friend to help you carry some treats home.

Oh! And on the second Tuesday of each month Sticky Fingers generously donates a portion of the day's sales to Compassion Over Killing!"
