"In Galerias Topázio, close to Parque Dr Manuel Braga, Menu Verde is perhaps one of the best choices for Vegetarians and Vegans in Coimbra.
Menu Verde is a self-service restaurant, where you can have a cheap and delicious meal. You always have three or four options to choose from, as well as a wide range of desserts and fruits. Mind you, the desserts may contain cow milk, so please ask if you are vegan. The staff is always very nice and handy, so don't hesitate to ask your questions. It's a shame they close on Saturdays and dinner, but they always have some excellent pies which you can take away.
If you try Menu Verde, which I strongly recommend, don't forget to ask for a natural juice - try it and you will know why!
And I'm sure you will also like the price: for EUR 6-8 you will have a memorable meal. And after it, just cross the street and enjoy a walk in the park and the margins of the beautiful Mondego river - unforgettable, I'm positive!"
