UDIPI CAFÉ

"At first glance, this place is a "hole in the wall" ... no fuss no muss. Table and chairs, a few pictures on the wall - bright flourescent lighting - not a place to take a date for a romantic dinner. The place was filled with families with kids, grandparents and noise.

The food, however, was excellent! We ordered Paneer Palak and Aloo Gobi. Very tasty. The waiter was very nice (he was not Indian) but helpful in answering questions about the foods that passed by us. Lots of people were ordering dosa - which we'll try next time.

There was no take-out menu available. I think that this little place is only frequented by native Indians - so therefore no take-out orders are placed. My husband and I are Caucasian, and we felt abit awkward at first - being the only Caucasians, but all in all we enjoyed our meal. Will go there again, for sure."
