FATTY'S

"Fatty's is the hub for Jamaican, West Indian and soul food in our town. Highly suggested for lunch or dinner, the small and friendly joint is located off a small side street, and is usually pretty hoppin' with hungry locals.

The owner is the only cook and server, and she couldn't be any nicer. So much so that us locals are in the habit of calling her "Ma". Her menu is designed so that she has a certain amount of dishes, all available in chicken, beef, seafood, or vegetarian.

Her jerk vegetables are out of this world, and she puts no meat products in her beans. The rice is made with coconut milk, and a secret mixture of spices, and is well known around town.

On Sundays her specialty is to make vegetarian vegetable fritters as a special side. I would diet all week just to treat myself to Fatty's fritters every Sunday!
