"Vishnu is San Jose's saving grace. Their meal-of-the-day includes soup, salad, rice, a prepared vegetable dish, a large glass of fresh fruit juice and dessert for about $5US. Great bean-based veggie burgers which include dairy cheese and soy ham, pita sandwiches, pizzas, spaghetti, variety of salads, fruit plates, granola and yogurt. The ambiance is flourescent lit coffee shop, but the food more than makes up for it. They are very accomodating about preparing vegan versions. Service is fast and friendly. On Avenida 1, between Calle 1 and 3."
